About Me

I graduated magna cum laude from Salem State University in 1977 with a B.A. in Secondary Education (English and Spanish). In February of 2006, I completed the 900-hour therapeutic massage program at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge/Watertown, MA.

After graduation from MTI, I worked in a group massage practice, Sollievo Massage and Bodywork, in North Cambridge for 6-1/2 years and as a teaching assistant at the Muscular Therapy Institute/Cortiva Institute in Watertown. In February of 2013, I opened my private practice in Belmont, MA, where I happily shared space with acupuncturist Larisa Rich for 6 years before moving my practice to Arlington, MA.

In addition to my primary modality of Muscular Therapy, I have trained in a variety of other modalities, including General Relaxation (Swedish) Massage, Focused Deep Tissue Work, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Pre- and Peri-natal Massage, Oncology Massage, Reiki, and Massage Cupping. I hold a board certification from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
